As I’ve been packing my bag for my next trip in two days, it dawned on me that I do not have a single place to accumulate all of my travel experiences. I have a Journi that I use for major trips, and an Instagram that has most of my trip photos, but nothing that keeps everything together. So here I am, making an attempt to keep a thorough testimony of what I see in the expansive world around us.
But as this is my first post, I am a 20-something year old who longs to see EVERYTHING. I currently call Central Florida my home, and I am working in our expansive hospitality industry down here.
For 2017 I only have a few trips planned, but I will update as more adventures are committed to. The confirmed ones are as follows:
- February: A long weekend in Yellowknife, Canada. I’m headed here with the sole purpose of seeing the Aurora Borealis.
- July: A week in Peru. I have a friend who is equally as passionate about travel as I am, and as a result we’re taking our second vacation together to one of her dream destinations.
- August: Two weeks in Alaska. After reflecting on the trip I took when I was 12, I realized that I had to go to Alaska again at a time when I could appreciate all the beauty around me. Boyfriend and I will spend one week on a Princess Cruise, and one week driving around South-central Alaska.
- December: Tentative date to take off in my van.
In the time between these jaunts, I intend to reflect and curate the previous trips I’ve taken in the last two years, so I can keep it all centralized.
And with that, I’d like to wish all of you a speedy interim to your next trip!
